Late Run Pushes Tommies Past Cobbers

Concordia led St. Thomas early but was overcome late in the first half and lost 62-54 in St. Paul on Saturday. The Cobbers cut the margin to a single point at 53-52 in the second half but then the Tommies went on a 9-2 run to close out the game.

It is the sixth straight loss for the Cobbers who fall to 7-15 overall and 5-12 in the MIAC. St. Thomas improves to 15-6 in all games and 12-4 in league play.

The Cobbers had two players with more than eight points. Ebo Nana-Kweson was 7-for-15 from the floor and had a team-high 18 points. Brandon Fisher made three of his four shots from outside the arc and had 11 points. Jason Huus grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

John Nance scored the final nine points for the Tommies and finished with a game-high 20 points. Zach Riedeman was 4-for-5 from the field and added 12.
