A combination of experience and youth led the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team to a 60-58 win on Senior Day at Bo Ryan Court in Platteville, Wisconsin.

The Pioneers (14-11, 8-8 WIAC) were led by senior Brett Stangel, who had a game-high 23 points and freshman Jake Manning, who added 15 off the bench. The duo accounted for 25 of 34 points for UW-Platteville in the final 20 minutes.

Trailing 50-48, the Blugolds had two chances at the game-winning shots down the stretch to go ahead on a pair of 3 pointers with 51 seconds and 4 seconds left, respectively. Both shots came up short and the Pioneers prevailed with the win.

The Pioneer senior corps of Bondar, Litz, Stangel, Weik accounted for the first nine points and 19 of the 26 first half points.
