MEQUON, Wis. – With conferece, or division titles on the line, the little things usually win or lost games for teams. The Edgewood College men's basketball team stayed with Concordia University Wisconsin, but Eagle turnovers and Falcon offensive rebounds were too much to ovecome. The Falcons took the game 69-66 to earn their third straight Northern Athletics Conference North Divsion title.

Concordia Wisconsin (19-5, 14-2 NAC) opened the game with back-to-back triples from Zach Neumann and Luke Doedens. However, Derek Nkemnji hit a pair of free throws and after a Kent Faurote fastbreak layup, Ben Wisniewski hit his first three-point basket of the game, putting Edgewood College (18-6, 12-4 NAC) ahead 7-6 three minutes into the contest.

Michael Janusek sparked an Eagle run to close the half with a pair of free throws. Nkemnji followed with a layup and Wisniewski set-up a Jake Guziewski layup to pull the Eagles within one at 29-28 at the break.

The Concordia Wisconsin lead swelled to 62-52 with 2:33 remaining before the Eagles made a final push. Nkemnji started the push with a three-point play and Wisniewski cut the deficit to five with 1:06 left when he made a layup. After the Falcons went 1-for-2 at the free throw line, Joe Klocek nailed his only triple of the game to make the score 65-62 with 42 seconds left. Klocek made a layup on the Eagles' next trip to again make it a one possession game, but the Falcons made their free throws to push the lead back to five points. Wisniewski capped his 27-point performance with a layup with one second left to make the final 69-66.

Edgewood College outshot the Falcons 42.9 percent to 41.0 percent. However, the Eagles committed 18 turnovers to the Falcons' 14. The Eagles also outrebounded Concordia Wisconsin 37-33, but the Falcons grabbed 17 offensive rebounds that led to 21 second chance points.
