SCHENECTADY, NY -- Keith Callies scored a career high 24 points and Rusmir Dzanko had 11 rebounds along with 24 points as the Union College men's basketball team defeated RPI, 108-99 in a Liberty League game at the Viniar Athletic Center. The Dutchmen are now 12-6 overall and 5-5 in the league while the Engineers are also 5-5 in the league and 8-10 overall.

Joe Mason had a season best 11 assists with 16 points and four steals, and Evan Croll also had a season high 16 points and four steals. It was Union's second 100 point effort of the season. The Dutchmen shot 62%, the highest mark of the season, making 44 of 71 shots. Matt Petrone had 10 defensive rebounds and eight points with four assists. Union outrebounded RPI, 48-45.

Matthew Pooley had 20 points and Jamie Zajac scored 15 with six assists. Jamie Zajac scored 15 points with six assists and Brendan Farley had 12 for the Engineers, who shot 35%. RPI hit for 23 three pointers in this game and shot 40% from three point territory, making 23 of 57 attempts.

The Dutchmen led by 14 at 50-36 at halftime and continued to hit the shots in the second half. Union led by as many as 22 points in the second half at 97-75 with 5:06 left. The 108 point total was the highest since a 110-108 overtime win at Hobart on January 24, 2009.

Union is on the road next weekend with games against league newcomer Bard on Friday, February 3 and at Vassar Saturday, February 4.
