LEXINGTON, Ky.- No. 25 Transylvania maintained its unblemished record at home and its perch atop the HCAC standings with a 75-62 win over Defiance on Saturday at the Beck Center.

The Pioneers (17-2, 11-1 HCAC) are a perfect 10-0 on the home planks this season, and have won 22 of their last 24 games at the Beck Center overall.

Transy held Defiance (7-12, 3-9) well below their season average of 73 points per game.

The visitors' frustration was demonstrated by Defiance head coach Kyle Brumett, who earned two technicals and an ejection at the 8:58 mark in the second half.

Defiance had no answer for Transy's Brandon Rash and Ethan Spurlin, who scored 22 points apiece. The duo came into the game tied for fourth in HCAC scoring, at 16.7 points per game.

The Pioneers suited up at the Beck Center for the first time since Jan. 14, a 60-46 win over Rose-Hulman.

The Pioneers host HCAC foe Earlham on Wednesday, tip off set at 7:30 p.m.
