ASTON, Pa. - The Rosemont Ravens lost a key CSAC game against the host Neumann Knights this afternoon by a final score of 68-49. The loss dropped the Raven's record to 11-9, (7-6 CSAC) while Neumann moved to 9-11, (6-7 CSAC).
The Ravens were done in by a combination of ice-cold shooting from the field (14 for 56, 25%) and by their 24 turnovers. Neumann shot 41% from the field in today's contest.
Trailing the Knights by 10 points at the half, 34-24, Neumann reeled off 10 straight points to take a lead of 20 points at 44-24. The remainder of the half would have the Knights in front in the 20-point range, with the Ravens unable to make significant inroads.
Harrison Carsillo (Sr./Collingswood, NJ) was the lone double-digit scorer for the Ravens with 16 points. Carsillo also had nine boards to lead the Ravens. Nick Quigley (So./St. Pius X/Pottstown, Pa.) came off the bench to shoot 3-for-4 late in the game to score seven.
Dom Gibson scored 22 for the Knights on 8-for-11 shooting. PatrickO'Connor scored 15 and Mark Blount notched a double-double, scoring 12 with 11 boards.
The Ravens continue their road swing with the short trip to #8 Cabrini on Wednesday, 2/1. They will be playing the second game of a doubleheader that is scheduled for an 8pm tip-off.
