WESTMINSTER, Md. – Matt Porter scored a  game-high 15 points to lead No. 13 Franklin & Marshall to a 70-46 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's basketball action Saturday afternoon. The victory completes the season sweep over the Green Terror and marks the first time in five years the Diplomats have left Westminster with a victory.

F&M improved to 16-1, 9-1 CC, while McDaniel fell to 5-11, 2-7 CC.

The game was never in doubt as the Diplomats dominated from buzzer to buzzer. F&M jumped out to an early 10-1 lead five minutes into the game, and extended that advantage to 22 points, 33-11, going into the break. F&M continued its dominance in the second half, leading by as many as 27 points and never trailing by more than 17.

Porter turned in the best shooting performance of his career, missing just one shot. The sophomore shot 4-for-5 from field, including 2-for-2 from behind the arc, and went a perfect 5-for-5 from the stripe. He grabbed a team-high five boards and finished with two steals.  Brandon Beckford went 4-for-7 which netted him 12 points. Jon Salandra tallied eight points, Hayk Gyokchyan seven, and Ed Early finished with five boards and four points

Georgio Milligan finished with 10 points on 3-for-7 shooting. Milligan continues his assault on F&M's record book and now has 1,651 career points, 145 shy of James McNally's school mark of 1,796. Milligan has passed Jackiem Wright '05, Steve Juskin '04, Jeremiah Henry '96, Brandon Smith '06, Alex Kraft '02 and Will Lasky '92 this season. Only Terry Scott '88 and Don Marsh '79 stand between him and McNally.

Cullen Murray-Kemp was the only Green Terror to finish in double-figures with 13 points.

F&M shot 50% from the while its defense stifled McDaniel and limited the Green Terror to just 32% shooting.

F&M returns to action on Wednesday evening when the Diplomats host Johns Hopkins at 8:00 p.m.
