(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's basketball team carried the momentum from Thursday's big win into Saturday, rolling to another key Centennial Conference victory with a 66-45 win over visiting Swarthmore.

The Devils held their opponent to under 24 percent shooting for the second straight game. Junior Chris Barsanti (Hummelstown, Pa./Tilton School) did an outstanding job defensively, holding the conference's leading scorer to just seven points on the night, all in the first half.

Will Gates put Swarthmore on the board with a three-pointer before the Devils answered with a pair of triples to lead, 6-3. They would lead the entire contest, building a 12-point advantage at the midway point of the first half.

Sophomore Adam Honig (Chappaqua, N.Y./Horace Greeley) drained a three-pointer to close out the half for the second straight game, putting Dickinson in front, 33-22 at the break.

The Devils stretched the lead to 39-23 in the early going and were pretty much in control of the game from that point. The lead would continue to grow with sophomore Saar Ziv (Wassenaar, Netherlands/American School of Prague) giving the Devils their largest advantage, 64-36, with a breakaway dunk at the 4:31 mark.

Barsanti proved to be a force on both ends of the floor, scoring a game-high 18 points, hitting 7-of-11 from the field. First-year Gerry Wixted (Moorestown, N.J./Lawrenceville School) faced some foul trouble, but tallied 12 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots in just 20 minute of action.

Honig finished with nine points to go with a game-high six steals and a pair of assists. Doug Jakiela (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga) gave strong minutes off the bench, scoring seven points on the afternoon.

The Devils held Swarthmore to just 11 field-goals for the game, and just 22 percent shooting in the second half.

Jay Kober led Swarthmore (1-14, 1-7) with 15 points while Gates finished with seven points and seven rebounds.

The Red Devils improve to 6-8 overall and 4-4 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday to face the conference-leading Diplomats at 8:00 pm.
