Albion College junior forward Kolin Kazen recorded his fifth game this season with over 20 points, however his valiant effort was not enough to get the Britons a victory on Saturday afternoon against the Trine Thunder. The Brtions fell 70-54 at home to Trine.

Kazen finished the game with 22 points, but no other Briton reached double figures and as a team they shot just 43 percent and turned the ball over 18 times.

The Britons got off to a sluggish start and fell behind 10-1 in the first 3:23 of the game. Albion would not go away though and they rallied to take a 19-18 lead with 7:49 remaining in the first half thanks to outstanding play from first-year guard Zach Hurth among others.

Hurth, who has seen an increase in playing time due to junior guard Anthony Wash's injury, scored four points, dished out two assists and pulled down one rebound in the loss.

The rest of the half would be back and forth until the Thunder went on an 11-1 run to close out the first half.

Trine never looked back in the second half and eventually stretched out their lead to as many as 19 points.

Juniors Alex Harville and Leonard Wernette-Leff finished the game with six points apiece and senior Luke Walker recorded five points, three rebounds and one assist.

With the loss Albion falls to 2-2 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association games and 6-9 overall this season. The Britons will be back in action on Wednesday when they take on Kalamazoo College at Kresge Gymnasium.
