ROSEMONT, Pa. - The Rosemont Ravens (7-5, 4-2 CSAC) men's basketball team held the visiting Marywood University Pacers (4-9, 3-3 CSAC) to 43 points of offense in their 58-43 CSAC win this afternoon. With the win the Ravens hold a perfect 6-0 home record this season. The 43 points on defense represents the lowest number of points scored by a Raven's opponent since the program's very first game, when the Ravens defeated Penn State-Brandywine by a 75-40 score on 11/19/2009.

After a nip-and-tuck first half featuring six tie scores and four lead changes the Ravens never trailed in the second period to hold on to the victory. Ahead 25-22 at the half the Ravens extended their lead to 13 points at 43-30 almost halfway through the final half. The Pacers inched back into the game, trailing by only six points, 49-43 with 3:07 left in regulation, but the Ravens fended off that comeback, going on a 9-0 run to finish the contest.

Three-point shooting was a factor in the game with Rosemont shooting 7-for-19 (37%) from downtown while the Pacers were held to shooting only 1-for-15 (7%) from beyond the arc.

The Raven's Justin Chaney (Jr./Williamstown, NJ) scored 15 points to lead all players in the game. Harrison Carsillo (Sr./Collingswood, NJ) notched a double-double, scoring 13 points with 12 rebounds and his brother Mitch Carsillo (Jr./Collingswood, NJ) also hit double-figures with 11 points.

Marywood's Pierre Bakinde led the visitors in scoring with eight points.

Rosemont continues their home stand on Monday night, 1/9, when they host the Neumann Knights in a CSAC contest that is scheduled for an 8:00pm tip-off.
