Hartford, Conn. - Junior swingman Mick DiStasio (Cheverus, Maine) had 13 points and four steals to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 70-53 victory over the visiting Connecticut College Camels in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) league opener fo both teams this evening at Oosting Gymnasium.  Trinity improves to 9-3 with its fourth straight win and its 11th straight triumph over the Camels, while Connecticut College drops to 5-7.

Trinity never trailed, opening up an early 20-13 lead and using an 11-0 run to go ahead, 38-22, on a pait of free throws by freshman center Georges Papadeas (Athens, Greece) with just under four minutes left before the break.  Trinity led, 47-25, at halftime and, 58-34, five minutes into the second half.  Connecticut College outscored Trinity, 13-8, over the final 11 minutes to account for the 70-53 final tally.

Trinity shot 50 percent from the field (27-54) and 84.6 percent from the foul line (11-13), while holding the Camels to just 12 field goals in 32 attempts and 3-for-15 shooting from long range.  The Camels missed 12 of their 38 free throw attempts.  Papadeas and fellow rookie Carter Trent (Little Rock, Ark.) scored 12 points apiece, while Papadeas added five boards for Trinity, while junior guard Cameron Sutton (Queens, N.Y.) dished out six assists.
