Ravens Second-Half Defense Disappears

MADISON, NJ - The Rosemont College men's basketball team (6-5) were defeated by the host FDU-Florham Devils (6-6) this evening by a final score of 81-60 in a non-conference game. It was the first game played between the two programs.

The game was a dandy in the first half. Rosemont led by as many as five points with 4:15 elapsed in the game. The first period featured nine lead changes and three ties as the Devils led 31-29 at the break.

FDU-Florham shot well from the field in the first half (42.9%), but were red-hot in the second stanza, shooting 64.3% in the half and 53.6% for the game overall. A layup from the Raven's Tremell Green (Jr./BOK/Philadelphia) tied the game at 31-31 with 19:06 left, but the Devils took control from that point, going on a 7-0 run, taking a lead they would not relinquish. The Devils scored 50 points against Rosemont's 31 to salt the game away in the decisive half.

Harrison Carsillo (Sr./Collingswood, NJ) was the only Raven to hit double-figures, notching 11 points. Kevin Fenstermaker (So./Archbishop Wood/Warminster, Pa.) led the Ravens with six rebounds.

Adam Katz scored 16 to lead the Devils. The home side was helped by Will Green who scored 10 with 14 rebounds to earn a double-double.

Rosemont returns home on Saturday, 1/7 to begin their longest home stand of the season. The home stand will open with a CSAC game against the Neumann Knights. Game time is scheduled for 3:00pm.
