LEXINGTON, Va. – Gabriel Lowder paced six Quakers in double-figure scoring with 19 points in Guilford College's 96-67 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball win at Washington and Lee University Wednesday night.

The visiting Quakers (6-2, 1-1 ODAC) rebounded from consecutive losses last week with its finest game of the year and made a season-high 60 percent of its shots. Lowder and company found the Warner Center to their liking as they made nine-of-20 from three-point range, including five first-half trifectas.

Junior Travis Tracy drilled three three-pointers off the bench and scored all 11 of his points in the first half, which helped Guilford open a 48-28 halftime edge. The Quakers made over 55 percent of their first-half shots and turned the ball over just once, compared to the Generals' (5-4, 1-2 ODAC) eight first-half miscues.

Guilford's torrid shooting continued into the second half as the Quakers shot better than 65 percent from the floor. Lowder and rookie Matt McCarthy both made two more from long distance, which gave them three three-pointers apiece. McCarthy finished with 13 points off the bench, a career high. Fellow freshman reserve Will Freeman sank six-of-seven shots from the floor and finished with 12 points. Carson Sullivan and James Robbins both added 10 points apiece. Sullivan also contributed five rebounds and five assists, both team highs.
