Cyclones Spin Past Pacers 74-52

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (December 6, 2011) – The Cyclones (4-4, 2-2 CSAC) came out on fire for "Pack the House" night with a major conference win over Marywood University (4-4, 3-2 CSAC) on Tuesday night.

Senior Larry Lenahan (South Amboy, N.J./South Amboy) extended his streak of consecutive double-doubles to six games with a ten point, 12 rebound performance in the Cyclones 74-52 victory over the Pacers. Junior Warren Murphy (Ridgefield Park, N.J./Ridgefield Park) finished the day with 21 points, five rebounds, seven assists and a steal for the Cyclones including shooting 10-11 from the line.

The Cyclones came out on fire early on as they took an 8-0 lead to start the game as part of a 13-4 run behind back-to-back three pointers by junior Max Hughes (Nazareth, Pa./Notre Dame Green Pond).

Up 15-8 with just under ten minutes to go in the first half, the Pacers began to fight back, going on a 10-2 run to take a 18-17 lead, their first of the day. Both teams continued to battle, exchanging the lead five more times throughout the half before entering halftime with the Cyclones up 31-29.

Early in the second half, the Cyclones came back on fire with the support of a "Pack the House" crowd as they jumped ahead 50-35 off a 19-6 run early on. Despite four lead changes early in the second half, the Cyclones were able to blast it open as they kept piling on more points to finish the day with a 74-52 victory over the Pacers in order to bring their record back to the .500 mark.

The Cyclones head back to action on Saturday when they travel out to Langhorne, Pa. to take on Philadelphia Biblical University as part of a men and women's double-header with the men scheduled to tip-off at 4:00pm.
