IMMACULATA, Pa. (December 3, 2011) – The Centenary College men's basketball team (3-4, 1-2 CSAC) dropped below .500 today after a tough 97-82 loss to the Immaculata University Mighty Macs (3-4, 2-2 CSAC).

Senior Larry Lenahan (Asbury Park, N.J./Asbury Park) extended his streak of consecutive games with a double-double to five as he finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Max Hughes (Nazareth, Pa./Notre Dame Green Pond) also contributed with 15 points along with three assists and three rebounds.

The Cyclones kept the game close early as they tied the game twice in the first five minutes, but the Mighty Mac offense came on quick as they did not give up a lead the entire game. With Immaculata up 39-22 and just over five minutes left in the first half, the Cyclones fired back with five consecutive points but were unable to cut down the Mighty Mac offense as they entered halftime down 46-35.

The Cyclones bench played a major role in the second half, outscoring the Mighty Mac bench 15-5. Down 67-49 with just under twelve minutes left, the Cyclones fired with back-to-back three pointers from Andy Charles (West Orange, N.J./Montclair) and Kyle Malavasi (Asbury, N.J./North Hunterdon) to cut the Mighty Mac lead to 12.

Unfortunately for the Cyclones, they could not cut the lead down enough as they fell 97-82 for their second conference loss of the season. Centenary looks to return to action on Tuesday as they host "Pack the House/White Out Night" when they take on the Marywood Pacers at 8:00pm.
