GREENSBURG, PA - The Medaille men's basketball team made it a perfect 7 for 7 thus far in 2011 as they won the battle of a pair of teams that were knocking down a ton of shots.  The Mavs rode a (55%) shooting day to a (90-78) victory over AMCC rival Pitt-Greensburg.

The Mavs hit a remarkable (66.7%) of their shots from behind the arc as they knocked down a dozen three pointers.  Leading the way in that barrage was Tyler Stevens who connected on (5 of 7) from deep for a (15) point day.  Greensburg was almost equally as impressive as they connected on (54.2%) of their field goal attempts on the day.

The Mavs top scorer was Angel Flores who netted (16) points while dishing out five assists.  Also coming up with five assists on the day was Phil Maiarana who also scored (12) points.

The Maverick bench played a critical role in the victory as they outscored their counterparts (35-6) with Sean Bellomo leading that group.  Bellomo knocked down all six of his field goal attempts for (12) points while also grabbing three boards and blocking one Bobcat shot.

The Mavs also made the most of the turnovers that they created as they tallied (27) points off of Pitt-Greensburg miscues.  The hosts only managed (9) points off of (13) Medaille turnovers.

The win keeps the Mavs unbeaten at (7-0) and they stay atop the AMCC standings with a (2-0) conference mark.  The Mavs will host Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday (12/7) in their AMCC home opener at 6:00pm.
