More news about: Medaille

CAZENOVIA, NY - After a back and forth first half of play the Medaille College men's basketball team found its form and methodically dismantled Cazenovia College en route to an (84-69) non-conference road victory.

Each team held a double digit advantage in the opening 20 minutes with the Mavs carrying that advantage into the intermission.  Halftime adjustments coupled with some hot shooting would allow Medaille to keep the Wildcats at arms length in the second stanza.

The Mavs torched the nets as they knocked down (53.0%) of their field goal attempts while connecting on (40.0%) of their shots from behind the arc.  They also won the battle of the boards (32-26) and dished out (19) assists in the win.

Having a career day for the Mavs was Steve Bryant who posted career highs with his double/double of (19) points and (14) rebounds in (29) minutes of action.

Three other Medaille players posted double digit point efforts as David Shuey netted (14), Phil Maiarana poured (13) and Jammal Coleman contributed a dozen.

The win keeps the Mavs slate clean at (5-0) and they will open up AMCC play on Wednesday (11/30) when they take on rival Penn State-Behrend at 6:00pm in Erie, PA.
