Trinity Men's Basketball Loses At Eastern Connecticut

Hartford, Conn. - The Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors defeated the visiting Trinity College Bantams, 74-50, in men's basketball action this evening at Geissler Gymnasium. Trinity drops to 2-1, while Eastern Connecticut improves to 2-1 with its fourth straight victory over the Bantams.

Trinity took a 24-22 lead on a jumper by sophomore swingman Eric Dean (Gilford, N.H.) with 7:20 left in the half but trailed, 33-31, at the break. The Bantams made just 6 of 24 field goals attempts in the second half and missed all seven of their three-point tries. Eastern Connecticut guard Nick Nedwick led all scorers with 18 points. Dean was the lone Bantam in double figures in scoring with 13 points and added a game-high eight rebounds.
