The Raiders beat Edgewood 64-53 Saturday afternoon in the NAC Challenge at the Kern Center. The victory gives MSOE the record for the most wins in a season in program history. Senior forward Austin Meier scored 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Meier set the MSOE record for rebounds in a career in the game as he passed the mark set by Brian Geurts. He has 873 rebounds as a Raider. Meier now has 14 double-doubles on the year.
The win secures the three seed for MSOE in the NAC Tournament which begins Wednesday. Meier was 8-10 from the field and 2-2 from three-point range. The other MSOE player in double figures was senior guard Bennett Deacon with 11 points.
The Raiders (19-6) will host Aurora Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the NAC Tournament.
