(Gettysburg, Pa.)  - The Dickinson College men's basketball team had just six players score on Wednesday night, but it was enough to post a 66-58, Centennial Conference road win at Gettysburg. First-year Brian Gerney (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) drained five three-pointers for a game and career-high 21 points to lead the way. He hit 8-of-12 shots from the floor and controlled five rebounds.

The Devils shot 83 percent from the free throw line, hitting 15-of-18 on the night. First-years Tucker Landy (Durham, Conn./Xavier) and Adam Honig (Chappaqua, N.Y./Horace Greeley) each went 4-for-4 from the line while senior Matt Dolan (Chalfont, Pa./St. Joe's Prep) went 7-for-8 from the stripe on the way to 20 points.

Gettysburg struck first before the Red Devils went on an 11-2 run in the opening five minutes. Gerney knocked-down back-to-back three-pointers and scored off a Landy steal-assist to put Dickinson in front, 33-17 with 2:31 remaining in the half. Gerney added a lay-up to a pair of Dolan free throws to stretch the margin to 20 before Brendan Trelease hit a three-pointer to cut the Devil lead to 37-20 at halftime.

The Bullets cut the deficit to eight at the 15:54 mark of the second half. Less than two minutes later another Gerney triple stretched the margin to 45-31. A 17-8 run by the Bullets brought the hosts to within five, 53-48, with 4:26 remaining in the game.

Dolan scored a lay-up, hit a three-pointer and converted a pair of free throws to give the Devils a 62-52 lead with 39 seconds left to play. Honig would hit four straight free throws in the final 29 seconds to secure the win for the Red Devils.

Landy reached double-figures as well, scoring 12 points and dishing out a career-high seven assists. Pat Kearns (Hartford, Conn./East Catholic) scored five points and Chris Heine (Spring Lake, N.J./St. Rose) chipped in with four points and three assists.
