Hawks Shoot Past Wheelock 84-70

Leicester, Mass.- Becker shot an astounding 71 percent from the field and 88 percent from three point range in the first half as the Hawks soared to a 84-70 win over Wheelock College in New England Collegiate Conference men's basketball action.

Five Hawks finished the game in double figures. Rajai Leggett (New Haven, Conn.) notched a double-double scoring a game high in points with 18 and rebounds with 10. Freshman Tyler Robinson (Irvington, N.J.) came off the bench and went 4 for 6 from three point range, finishing with 16 points. Rickey Clark (New Britain, Conn.) also chipped in with 15 points off the bench, going 3 for 5 from three point range. Junior Terrance Favors (Boston, Mass.) and reining New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week Trae Jacobs (Lexington Park, MD.) added 13 and 10 points respectively.

With the win Becker improved to 21-3 overall and 13-0 in the NECC. The Hawks will host Mitchell College in the regular season finale on Saturday at 3pm.

Wheelock had two players finish in double figures. Senior Dan Main (Hopedale, Mass.) led the Wildcats with 13 points. Elliot Hernandez (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) shot 5 for 9 from the field scoring 11 points in just 12 minutes of action.

The loss drops Wheelock to 10-14 overall and 6-7 in the NECC. The Wildcats finish the regular season on Saturday when they travel to Elms College to do battle with the Blazers at 4pm.
