WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Two layups by Anthony Trautman in the final 1:04 secured a late lead as Lebanon Valley won its fifth straight in a 78-70 see-saw match-up at Lycoming on Wednesday night.

The Dutchmen (14-6, 5-4 CC) moved into fourth place in the Commonwealth Conference at least for a day after Albright beat Widener 75-72 and the Messiah-Elizabethtown game was pushed to Thursday due to the recent storm.

LVC will host Widener Saturday in an important league game. With five games left to play, the Dutchmen control their own destiny in the playoff hunt, with the top four teams making the CC postseason's tournament.

The Warriors (12-8, 2-7 CC) led twice in the final seven minutes, but gave up a late 7-0 LVC run and never got back into the game.

Trautman scored a game-high 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting, while Joe Meehan added 18 points and eight assists. Danny Brooks was also in double figures with 12 points and six boards.

Lycoming's Ihsaan Davis had 24 points, and Will Kelly added 16 points and seven rebounds.

Lebanon Valley had led by as much as 14 in the first half and 40-31 at the break, but the Warriors chipped away at the lead and eventually went ahead on Kelly's three-pointer with 12:20 left in the game.

The game see-sawed from there, with the lead changing hands four times before back-to-back jumpers by Brooks and Meehan put LVC up 70-66 with 3:23 to go. Mike Bradley cut the lead in half with a jumper seconds later, but Trautman re-established the two-possession advantage with a layup with 1:04 to go.

Bradley made two foul shots after a Brooks foul, but Trautman answered with another layup to put LVC up 74-70 with 28 ticks left. Lycoming never scored again as Meehan and Trautman both made free throws to finish off the win.
