WESTMINISTER, Md. – McDaniel went on a 17-2 run over the final four minutes to defeat No. 18 Franklin & Marshall 61-53 Tuesday evening in Centennial Conference (CC) men's basketball action.  The Green Terror improved to 6-7 (3-3 CC) while the Diplomats fell 10-3 (5-1 CC).

Trailing by seven at 4:07, McDaniel put together its game-winning run.  The Green Terror scored eight unanswered to go up 54-51 at 1:48. The Diplomats countered with two free throws by Georgio Milligan to come within a point, 54-53, at 1:28.  But McDaniel hit seven out of eight free throws over the final 1:07 to seal the victory.

The first half was a battle resulting in four lead changes and six ties. Neither team held more than a four-point edge throughout the opening stanza. McDaniel went into the break with a 26-25 advantage.

Each team traded buckets in the first three minutes of the second, before F&M pulled away. The Diplomats put together a 10-2 run to take their largest lead, 42-33, with 9:46 remaining in the game. McDaniel kept in the game, matching buckets, as F&M held a 51-43 lead with 6:33 on the clock. Both teams went cold over the next two minutes, setting up McDaniel's game-winning run.

Milligan paced the Diplomats with a game-high 19 points. James McNally added 15 with nine boards while Brandon Beckford and Steve Tolliver finished with eight apiece.

Four players scored in double-figures for the Green Terror.  Marcus Dyson and Devon Lesniak each netted 12.  Loius Sarris-Grau  and Cullen Murray-Kemp tallied 11 and 10 respectively.

The win was the fifth -straight home victory for the Green Terror over the Diplomats.

The Diplomats continue their four-game road swing against Muhlenberg on Thursday. Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m.
