OWINGS MILLS, Md.--Senior Tyler Snoots pumped in 22 points and grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds for the Hood College men's basketball team (7-5, 3-2 CAC) in a convincing 76-53 Capital Athletic Conference victory over Stevenson University (4-9, 1-4 CAC) Wednesday evening.

Snoots' dominating effort helped the Blazers earn their third win in the last four outings. Hood led virtually the entire night and held the upperhand in nearly every statistical category, including a 53-31 advantage on the boards. Hood used a 15-0 burst in over a 3:34 span in the first half to break the game open and never looked back. The Blazers took a 35-16 lead into the locker room and did not relinquish their double-figure lead the rest of the way.

Snoots nailed 7-of-15 from the field and 8-of-15 from the foul line to lead all scorers and move into sixth place on Hood's all-time scoring list with 706 career points. His 22 rebounds smashed his previous career-best effort of 15 set against Marymount University last season.

Cameron Cook was the only other Blazer in double figures with 15 points, including two three-pointers. In all, 13 of the 14 Blazers to check into the game contributed to Hood's scoring effort.

Hood looks to make it three in a row Saturday when the Blazers host Marymount University at 6 p.m. at the Odom Fitness Center and Fort Detrick.
