Huntingdon Falls, 83-80, to Pensacola Christian

PENSACOLA, Fla. ---- The Huntingdon College men's basketball team dropped a close contest, 83-80, to Pensacola Christian College on Friday evening. After leading by two points, 40-38, at the half, the Hawks were a staggering 7-for-20 from the free throw line in the loss.

The difference in the game between the Hawks and Eagles was decided at the free throw line. In the first half, Huntingdon was near perfect, hitting 9-for-10. Overall the Hawks ended the contest 16-for-30 from the line, while the Eagles' finished 19-for-29 in the win.

Four Hawks' scored in double digits in Friday's loss to Pensacola Christian. Senior Ephriam Hudson paced the team with 26 points and 6-for-11 beyond the three-point line. Fellow senior Adrian Williams scored 18 points and recorded a team-high of six rebounds. Junior D'Awvalo Turnipseed and senior Deshawn Williams each tallied 16 and 14 points, respectively.

For the game, the Eagles held a 39-21 advantage on the glass. Huntingdon converted 53 percent of its shots, hitting 26-of-49, while the Eagles finished 31-of-63 (49.2%).

Pensacola Christian was led by James Parks, who finished with 22 points in the victory.

Huntingdon (2-4) travels to Lookout Mountain, Ga. on Saturday, Dec. 11, to take on Covenant College. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m.
