DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College saw three players score at least 13 points on the way to a 67-51 win over Adrian on Wednesday evening. The victory marked DC's seventh-straight triumph over a non-conference opponent inside the Karl H. Weaner Community Center.

The Jackets used 11-of-12 shooting from the free throw line to counter a 33.3-percent clip from the field in the opening 20 minutes. The result was a 29-27 halftime edge for Defiance in a half that saw seven ties and five lead changes.

DC found its touch from the floor and wasted little time getting on track in the second half, hitting its first four shots out of the intermission to open up a comfortable 39-27 lead with the 10-0 spurt. The Jackets would roll from there, as Adrian never got any closer than nine points the rest of the way.

A jumper from Logan Wolfrum would put Defiance in front by double figures to stay, at 48-37 with 12:56 left in the game. The lead would eventually balloon as high as 18, before DC finished the 67-51 victory.

Wolfrum led all scorers and filled the stat sheet with 18 points, seven assists, six rebounds and one block, while Anthony Brown netted 17 points and Leroy Lewis tacked on 13 points, five boards and two helpers.

The Jackets pulled away behind 56.5-percent shooting over the final period, while holding AC to just eight-of-32 from the field. The result was a 38-24 spread over the final 20 minutes that secured the comfortable victory for Defiance.

DC (4-4, 1-2 HCAC) will not be in action again until it hosts the Purple and Gold Tournament on December 29 and 30. MacMurray and Albion will open at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, before Defiance hosts OSU-Lima at 7:00 pm.
