More news about: Drew

LA PLUME, Pa.. (December 6, 2010) - Keystone (5-1) erupted for 41 second-half points to pull away from the Rangers as they drop their second game in three days. The Giants shot over 60 percent from the field in final 20 minutes of play.

In a tale of two halves it was the Rangers who jumped out to the early lead. From the opening tip Drew (2-4) would have the lead all the way up to the 10 minute mark, holding multiple leads as high as six. The Giants finally put together a 7-0 run near the midpoint of the first half to capture their first lead of the night with 9:17 left in the first frame. After temporarily getting the lead back on a Lucas Levenson (Margate City, N.J./Atlantic City) layup, Keystone would score four-straight points and never trail for the remainder of the contest.

The Rangers would stay within striking distance and go into the locker room trailing by eight. Terrell Brown (Camden, N.J./Woodrow Wilson) had the hot hand in the first frame hitting three of his five shots for six points. Luke Glass (Rumson, N.J./Rumson Fair-Haven) was the second-leading first half scorer, contributing five points.

The Giants were able to set the tone for the rest of the contest in the first three minutes of the second half by putting together a 11-2 run. The Giants would keep a double digit lead for the remainder of the game and holding as high as a 24-point advantage.

As the Giants got hot as the game went on the Rangers ran cold. Drew would shoot just 30 percent from the floor and 20 percent from beyond the arc in the second half of play. After averaging almost 10 three pointers a game, Drew was only able to knock down two from downtown on the night.

Sophomore Dylan Bulger (Staten Island, N.Y./Staten Island Academy) was the team's high scorer with 12 points while also pulling down a team-high five rebounds. Brown was the only other Ranger in double figures with 10 points.

Drew will have their third game in five days on Wednesday when they go across the street to take on Fairleigh Dickinson in the highly anticipated rivalry game. Tip-off is set for 8:00 at the Ferguson Athletic Center.
