YORK, Pa. - Wesley College got double-doubles from both Paul Reynolds (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) and Kyan Andrews (Seaford, Del./Woodbridge), but it was not enough as a hot shooting York (Pa.) team picked up a 80-70 win.

Reynolds poured in a team-high 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting, while Andrews scored 11 points.  Both players had 10 rebounds.

Kevin Whaley, meanwhile, led York (Pa.) with 27 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three-point range.  As a team, the Spartans hit over 50 percent from the floor and made 8-of-14 threes.

The Wolverines led 17-14 after a three by Rudy Thomas (Milton, Del./Sussex Tech) with 11:31 to play in the opening half.  A Mo Oursler triple on the Spartans' next possession, however, started a 19-4 run that put York ahead by a dozen with five minutes left in the half.  The Spartans stretched that lead to 17 before another three by Thomas cut it to 43-29 at the break.

York kept the lead in double digits in the second half until a 9-0 run by the Wolverines chipped the margin to 72-65with a minute to play on a lay up by Darrell Johnson (New Castle, Del./Howard)

The Wolverines were forced to foul, however, and could get no closer.

Chris Douglas (Landover, Md./Jericho Prep Academy) scored 14 points for Wesley, while Johnson netted 13.

For York, Paul Kouvaris had a dozen points, while Dylan Hoffman led the team with eight rebounds and five assists.

Wesley stays on the road to play Hood at Fort Detrick on December 4.
