DePauw trimmed a 17-point deficit to three, but 13th-ranked Wabash used an 18-1 run to put the game away and claim a 57-40 win over the Tigers in a battle of unbeatens at the Neal Fieldhouse. DePauw dropped to 4-1 with the loss, while the Little Giants improved to 7-0.

Wabash held an early 12-10 lead, but used a 19-4 run which included three three-pointers from A.J. Sutherlin on the way to a 31-15 halftime lead. Wabash nailed 6-of-14 threes in the first half, while the Tigers missed on all 15 attempts from beyond the arc.

The Tigers opened the second half with a 7-0 run capped by Sean Haseley's three which closed the Wabash lead to 31-22. The Little Giants hit a pair of free throws before Haseley, Weakley, Michael Wilkison and Ryan Sever all scored buckets to close the gap to 33-30 with 11:46 left.

After a Wabash miss, the Tigers missed on a pair of three-pointers to tie the score. The Little Giants' Dominique Thomas answered with a layup and three-pointer, while Wes Smith added a pair of free throws to make it 40-30 with 9:23 remaining.

DePauw's Ryan Russell hit a free throw two minutes later to make it 40-31 before Wabash's Derek Bailey knocked down a three which started a string of 10 straight points and pushed the lead to 51-31 with just over three minutes left. During that 18-1 run, DePauw missed 10 consecutive field goal tries.

Haseley and Wilkison each scored 10 for DePauw, while Haseley grabbed eight rebounds. Smith led all scorers with 21 and hit all nine free throw attempts. Bailey added 11, while Sutherlin grabbed seven rebounds.

Wabash shot 39.6 percent for the game and hit 8-of-19 three-pointers with the Tigers connecting on 29.1 percent from the floor and just 4-of-30 from beyond the arc.

The win snapped DePauw's seven-game win streak in the series at the Neal Fieldhouse. Wabash's last win in Greencastle came on November 30, 1998. It also ended the Tigers' 23-game home win streak in non-conference games.

DePauw opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference on Friday when it hosts Birmingham-Southern on Friday at 8 p.m. Wabash opens North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday at Hiram.
