NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Three games into the season and the Edgewood College men's basketball team can already claim two wins against two of the region's stronger conferences. The Cardinals proceeded to score the next nine consecutive points to cut the Eagles' lead to 46-41 with 3:24 left to play. However, Barczak scored a bucket off an assist by Cashton Craig and Wisniewski followed it with a three-point basket to push the lead back to 10 points at 51-41. The Eagles would go on to score eight of the last 10 points of the game for a 59-43 victory.

Faurote scored his 18 points on 5-for-8 shooting and also pulled down a team-high six rebounds. Faurote led three Eagles in double figures, including Wisniewski who had 13 points by going 3-for-6 from the three-point line. Barczak added 10 points, while Craig handed out a team-high five assists. The Eagles shot 84.2 percent (16-for-19) from the free throw line, while North Central College went just 3-for-10 at the charity stripe.
