Centenary (N.J.) is changing its men's basketball head coach for the fifth time since 2012. Assistant coach Jason Geleski will be the Cyclones' new head coach on an interim basis, replacing Damian Pitts who resigned for a Division II head coaching job.

Centenary Director of Athletics Travis Spencer announced Geleski's hiring on Thursday.
"[Jason's] rapport with the current team members and his high level recruiting made this decision quite simple," said Spencer in the release. "With the number of returnees from a strong season, it was important for us to keep as much continuity as possible."
Geleski was an assistant on Pitts' staff last season when the Cyclones went 12-14, 7-5 in the CSAC. He is also enrolled in Centenary's Master of Leadership and Public Administration program.
Geleski was previously the head boys basketball coach at Kittatinny Regional High School in Newton, N.J. for three seasons and the head women's and men's basketball coach at Hostos Community College in the Bronx. Geleski played at Montclair State under Jose Rebimbas and then worked as his assistant coach at William Paterson.
"I would like to thank my former coaches, especially Jose Rebimbas, and players for working with me in the past to bring me forward to this special moment in my life," said Geleski. "I believe that Centenary University offers student/athletes a unique opportunity to grow on and off the court. We have all of the pieces to keep moving the men's basketball program forward and we will build on last season's improvements."
Geleski replaces Damian Pitts who went 19-32 in two seasons in Hackettstown. Pitts took the head coaching job at Division II Clarion (Pa.) University.
The Cyclones have now cycled through five coaches since the end of the 2012 season when Enrico Matroianni left. Brendan Twomey held the position for one season, followed by Tim Fusina for four and Pitts for two.
