No. 19 New Jersey City finished a fantastic first semester with a thrilling victory as Lavrone Green hit a one-handed runner from behind the arc to beat Albertus Magnus, 81-80.

Midway through the second half it looked like Albertus Magnus would hand New Jersey City its first loss. The Falcons shot 69 percent in the first half and built a 20-point lead on the Gothic Knights with 11:46 to play. New Jersey City (9-0) came all the way back to tie the game at 78 when Lavrone Green hit a three-pointer with 38 seconds left. Albertus Magnus' All-American Jaqhawn Walters immediately answered with a jumper to put the Falcons back in front by two.

On the final play of the game, the Gothic Knights inbounded the ball, gave it Green who was nearly forced into a back court violation and then watched him hit the game winning shot. Green finished with 34 points, which was twice as much as the rest of the New Jersey City starters combined. Watch his game-winning shot below.

The defending WIAC champions survived a scare from the defending UMAC champions as UW-River Falls beat Northwestern (Minn.), 69-65. Northwestern (Minn.) built a 41-26 halftime lead but could not withstand the Falcons' pressing defense in the second half. Alex Herink scored 20 of his 24 points in the second half and River Falls finished its semester with an 8-1 record. 

Chris Wallace scored 20 points and No. 9 Lycoming held off York (N.Y.), 75-67. The Warriors have the best record in Division III at 10-0.

The MIAA scored a pair of upset wins over CCIW foes on Saturday evening. Alma shot 59 percent in the first half and went on to beat Wheaton (Ill.), 87-82. Preston Laketa scored 22 points off the bench for Alma (2-5) while Aston Francis scored 28 for the Thunder (6-3).

At Van Noord Arena, Austin Bykerk scored 19 points and Derrick DeVries added 18 points in Calvin's 79-75 win over Carthage. The Red Men have dropped three of their last five games and head to Florida for two games starting Monday. Box score

In the South Region, LaGrange defeated Berea 97-90, giving Panthers' head coach Kendal Wallace his 100th career victory. Emory hit 15 three-pointers and hammered Guilford 84-58. The Eagles improved their record to 6-2 with four wins in their last five tries. Randolph broke into the win column when Reid Jacoby hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to beat Southern Virginia, 60-59.

Ohio Northern committed 23 turnovers and John Carroll flipped a nine-point halftime deficit to a 101-95 victory over the Polar Bears. Antonio Vuyancih scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Blue Steaks (7-1, 3-1 OAC). Nate Burger scored 34 points but also turned the ball over 10 times for Ohio Northern (5-3, 3-1 OAC). Box score

North Park upended Lake Forest 64-59 to snap the Foresters' seven-game winning streak. Colin Lake scored 22 points for the Vikings. Box score

A pair of struggling teams put on a show in Fort Lauderdale where Olivet defeated St. Mary's (Md.) 117-111 in triple overtime. Jalen Adams and Tracy Edmonds scored 38 points in 50+ minutes apiece for the Comets (3-4). Ochae Bynum scored 25 points for the Seahawks (2-7). Box score
