Husson senior guard Raheem Anderson needed six points on Friday night to reach 2000 for his career and scored them less than four minutes into the game. Then he scored 12 more in the Eagles' 69-52 win over Green Mountain.

Husson (5-1, 3-0 NAC) opened up a double-digit lead late in the first half and held it for the rest of the game. Anderson scored 18 points on 7-for-16 shooting and also grabbed eight rebounds in 32 minutes. Anderson is averaging 21.8 points for the Eagles and has scored 2,012 points in his career. He received a medical red shirt in the offseason, granting him an additional year of eligibility in recognition of the season-ending ankle injury he suffered eight games into his freshmen season.

Anderson needs to average about 20 points over his remaining 19 regular season games -- or have a handful of postseason games -- to finish as one of the top 25 scorers in Division III men's basketball history. Rashawn Johnson of Wesley (2006-09) is 25th all time with 2,394 points. Andre Foreman of Salisbury remains the all-time scoring leader with 2,940 points.
