Director of Athletics Bob King has announced that women's basketball coach Amie Bradley has resigned from Trinity (Texas).

Bradley went 117-70 in her seven full seasons with the Tigers, including three seasons in which the team reached 20 wins, all in the first four seasons. Trinity was 9-17 in the past season, 7-9 in the SCAC.

Bradley led Trinity to the NCAA Tournament twice in her career, losing in the first round in both 2006 and 2008. She was hired prior to the 2005-06 season.

During her tenure, the Tiger women's basketball team earned the top seed in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference West Division in both 2008 and 2009. Bradley led Trinity to the SCAC championship game in 2006 and 2009, but fell just short of winning the conference titles in both years.

"I appreciate Amie's leadership over the past seven years," said King. "Amie and her family have been important parts of the Trinity community for the last several years, and we are all sad to see her go."

King also indicated that Trinity will begin its search process immediately, and will look to hire just its third women's basketball coach in the past 20 years.

Bradley held a record of 117-70 with the Tigers, which is second in school history.  Her winning percentage of .626 also ranks second in Trinity history.

As a player with the University of Texas-Austin women's basketball team from 1993-97, Coach Bradley was a four-year starter, scoring over 1,000 career points.  She led the team in rebounding all four years, and was the team captain during her senior season (1996-97).  Texas won the Southwest Conference Championship in 1996.
