Bobbi Endress announced her resignation as the head women's basketball coach at Augustana after a six year stint with the Vikings. The resignation is effective immediately.

"I want to thank Bobbi for her six years of service to the college, her commitment to Augustana athletics and the women's basketball program," said Mike Zapolski, director of athletics at Augustana. "We wish her the best of luck in the future."

Endress took over the Vikings' program in the spring of 2006, replacing James Black, who had served as the head coach for five years before resigning following the 2005-06 season.

Endress' team finished the 2011-12 season with an 11-14 record, the most victories for the women's basketball program since the Vikings went 15-9 in 2003-04. Her mark at Augustana was 37-113 in six years. Endress' career collegiate head coaching record is 73-133.

"The future of the women's basketball program is bright, filled with good young talent and I wish them the best," said Endress.
