LAS VEGAS -- The final game of the D3hoops.com Classic came down to the final shot, while No. 2 Scranton and No. 10 DeSales each salvaged a split of their two games at the 2019 event.

No. 2 Scranton (11-1) held off a late St. Vincent rally in a 63-57 win over the Bearcats (6-5) in the first-ever meeting between the programs. The Bearcats were able to cut the Lady Royals' lead to six at 58-52 with 2:31 to play, but were unable to get any closer and senior Makenzie Mason hit a 3-pointer with one minute left to stretch the lead back to nine.

Mason led five Scranton players in double figures with 14 points and added nine rebounds, while seniors Sofia Recupero and Emily Sheehan added 12 points apiece.

Madison Kollar paced St. Vincent with a game-high 24 points and Paige Montrose had 13 points. Scranton split two games at the tournament, while St. Vincent finished 0-2, with losses to two teams with a combined record of 18-4.

Senior forward Molly Jansco scored the final five points of the game and grabbed three huge rebounds in that stretch leading a 10-0 game-ending run lifiting the No. 10 DeSales women past Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 67-63.

The Athenas had two possessions in the final 20 seconds to try to take the lead, getting on a short jumper from the left baseline off an inbounds pass, and a 3-pointer from the right wing off a kickout pass, but were unable to convert. Jansco came up with both defensive rebounds for DeSales and closed out with three more foul shots in four attempts, including both with four seconds left to seal it.

Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda scored 21 points to go along with 19 rebounds as Emmanuel defeated Keene State 56-49. It was her eighth double-double of the season. Lilly Shlimon scored a team-high 10 points and added four rebounds, but was the only KSC player in double-figures.

The final men's game of the tournament came down to the final shot of the night, and while Marcus Dempsey scored a game-high 28 points, the game-winner came from Trey Singleton. He buried a shot from the corner with 4.0 seconds remaining, lifting the Muskies to a 72-70 win vs. UW-River Falls

"This is the first time we've won a game where he was off. I'm proud of these guys," said Muskingum coach Travis Schwab. "We've come a long way since the earlier part of this season, with both offense and defense. ... For our other guys to step up and make big shot after big shot, MJ Smith top of the key, Trey Singleton in the corner -- that's big time stuff. That's where we've been working to get to."

Dempsey and Amherst's Hannah Fox were named the tournament's most valuable players.
