No. 3 Anchorwomen Dominate No. 25 UMass Dartmouth, 69-31

Providence, R.I.—Fifth-year guard Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) scored a game-high 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out five assists, blocked four shots and swiped three steals as No. 3 Rhode Island College defeated No. 25 UMass Dartmouth, 69-31, in Little East women's basketball action played at The Murray Center on Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC came out swinging in the first quarter, going on a 16-0 run and holding the Corsairs to just four points, to take an 18-4 lead after the first 10 minutes of play.
 
• The second quarter saw all five members of the Anchorwomen starting lineup hit a three-point shot over the span of just over three minutes. RIC would take a commanding, 42-12, lead into halftime.
 
• The Anchorwomen would lock down defensively for the rest of the matchup, giving the Corsairs no space to try and mount a comeback. The hosts forced 30 turnovers during the game.
 
• Graduate guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, Mass.) registered 11 points, secured nine rebounds and nabbed four steals in the win.
 
• Junior guard Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) scored eight points, grabbed seven steals, dished out five assists.
