Seniors Lead Women's Basketball to Big Win Over Wilson

La PLUME, Pa. – Keystone women's basketball team celebrated its four seniors and ended on a high note with a 70-39 win over Wilson in the first game of Saturday afternoon's home doubleheader at the Gambal Athletic Center.

With the win, the Giants finish at 14-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (17-7 overall) and secured the No. 2 spot to host a CSAC Championships semifinal game next Wednesday, Feb. 23 against the lowest remaining seeded winner of Monday's first round.

Keystone's four seniors — Abby Ritz (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area)Lee Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood)Bella Lamonea (Glendora, Calif./South Hills) and Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) — all finished in double-digit scoring figures in their final regular season game.

Wilson fell to 10-8 CSAC (11-13 overall) and will have the No. 4 seed in next week's conference tournament.

Outstanding Performers

  • Oribello tallied a consecutive double-double (fifth career) on 10 points and 11 assists.
  • Lamonea led the Giants with 17 points to go along with six rebounds.
  • Ritz totaled 16 points and 12 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season.
  • Gordon had 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals.
  • Tioleaoauli Posiulai led the Phoenix with 12 points and 18 rebounds. She was matched by Naomi Hanton's 12 points off the bench.
