The Eagles made 9-16 field goals in the first in building a 22-9 through 10 minutes. Five points from sophomore Keagan Schwab and three more from sophomore Jordan Carpenter gave the Eagles an 8-5 lead after 2:46 of game time. A pair of Ashley Martin baskets upped the advantage to 12-5 with 3:47 remaining, and after a Carpenter free throw and Karissa Highlander score, the margin grew to 10, at 15-5. Seniors Tory Martin and Bri Harper followed with a jumper and a three pointer, and Emily Shively capped the frame with a runner, with the Eagles leading 22-9.

In the second, the lead swelled to 21 on a Highlander basket, and Molly Sharman and Tory Martin connected for scores to keep the Eagles ahead. Highlander's free throws with 1:14 left gave UMW a 36-14 advantage, and the Eagles led, 36-16, at intermission.

Sharman's early score and ffour points from Schwab kept the Eagle margin early in the third, and Harper hit another three to maintain the lead at 22 midway through the third. Megan Baxter followed with four free throws, and then hit a runner to cap the third with the Eagle lead at 53-28.

After layups from Sharman and Ashley Martin to open the fourth, the Eagles gained a pair of baskets from senior Thora Gibbs down the stretch, and walked off the court with a 61-37 victory after the final horn.

Schwab and Sharman each scored nine to lead the Eagles, who saw 11 players find the scoring column. Ashley Martin had eight points and Carpenter had six points and 10 rebounds.

The Eagles shot 39.3% (22-56), making 4-14 three point attempts, and 13-20 free throws. Emory & Henry shot 26% (13-50), making 3-24 three point tries and 8-12 free throws. The Eagles controlled the boards, 42-33.
