LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball consistently battled, but dropped a hard fought battle with #3 Trine pulling away in the fourth quarter at home on Wednesday.

Trine came out strong to open the game, scoring the first eight points
Benedictine did not score until the 4:29 mark of the first on a pair of Alex Fanning free throws
Down 12-2, Benedictine closed with a 6-0 run as three different players scored to cut the deficit to 12-8 after the first
Brilan McCory tied the game at 16 with a layup on a fastbreak with 5:43 left in the half and Claire Gibler recorded a second chance basket to put Benedictine ahead for the first time at 18-16
