Baruch WBB Wins at CCNY

The Baruch College Bearcats started the game-winning 18-4 en route to an 80-57 win at CCNY on Saturday afternoon.

Five different players reached double-figure scoring as the Bearcats improved to 1-1 in the CUNYAC.

The team committed only eight turnovers with the ball and totaled eight steals on their defensive end to control the action.

Nia Dawson sparked the offense with 18 points, Frances Synder had 16 (4-for-8 3fg, 5 assists), and Sameera Ahmed added 13 in the win at Nat Holman Gymnasium.

The host Beavers struggled shooting 30 percent (21-for-69). They were led by Reilly Boehm with 25 points.

The Bearcats will return home on Monday night for the second of four CUNYAC contests this week on the schedule. Tip against John jay is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
