Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team ran by the visiting Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University, 71-25, this afternoon in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game at the Bradley Center. Behind a career-high scoring performance from senior Kelly McNulty, the Roadrunners improve to 5-11 overall and 2-7 in the conference. New Jersey City falls to 0-11 overall and 0-6 in the NJAC.

McNutly led all scorers with 14 points (7-10 from the floor) and four steals in reserve for the Roadrunners. Jillian Artrip added nine points, while Jenna McDonnell contributed eight points and a game high eight rebounds. Erin Fischer netted seven points and five boards. Stacey Porzl tallied five points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Roadrunners were in control of the game from the tip as they quickly jumped out to a 14-2 lead in the first four minutes of the quarter and extended the lead to 23-5 at the conclusion of the period. Jina Crawford led RCNJ in the quarter with six points.

Ramapo's dominating offensive play continued in the second quarter as they amassed 20 more points to increase the lead to 43-8 at the break. McDonnell went 4-6 in the second frame to produce eight points, while grabbing 14 points to lead all scorers at the intermission.

RCNJ shot 62.5% from the floor in the half, shooting 20-32, and went 3-4 (75%) from the three-point arc.

The Roadrunner lead would extend to as many as 49 points in the fourth quarter as they went on to the 71-25 win.

Kayla Clarke led the Gothic Knights with six points. Arielle Cortes scored four points, while Gianna Benacquista added four points and four rebounds.

Ramapo returns to NJAC action on Wednesday evening as they travel to William Paterson University. Tip-off is slated for 6pm.
