The Baruch College Bearcats lost 78-59 to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College on Saturday afternoon at the West Quad Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The visiting Bearcats started well with a three by Shannon Barrett, but the Bulldogs' Alexandra Moogan followed with three consecutive three-pointers to set the tone early in the CUNYAC contest.

The Bulldogs pulled away late in the second period for a 45-30 halftime lead. 

During the second half, the Bearcats battled hard shooting an outstanding 58 percent (11-19 fg), but could not overcome the double-digit deficit. They finished the game shooting a season-high 50 percent (23-46 fg).

Barrett collected another double-double with 28 points and 15 rebounds. She is now averaging close to 17 rebounds in her last three contests.

Melinda Spahiu had 13 points and five rebounds in the tough loss.

Moogan led the hosts with 23 points and 13 rebounds.
