GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy suffered their first Colonial States Athletic Conference defeat of the season, as the Griffins fell, 65-46, to Rosemont Wednesday night at The Griffin Complex.

Julianna Hoisington recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds for her first career double-double while Marisa Sullivan added a career-high 13 points. GMercyU trailed by 12 at halftime and got the deficit to just four midway in the third quarter, but the Ravens used a 12-3 run which led into the fourth to keep a double-digit lead the rest of the way.

After trading points early on, Sullivan was able to give the Griffins (5-6, 2-1 CSAC) their first lead, breaking a 7-7 score with her and-one layup and a foul shot.  It would be the last field until seconds left in the stanza as the Ravens added a layup, two threes, and free throws to take their lead back as part of an 11-2 spurt.

Rosemont (8-4, 2-1 CSAC) hit five of their eight three-pointers in the first half, including three in the second quarter. Allison Szyszko connected from downtown to get within eight, but Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter answered with a three of her own to push it to a 25-15 score with 6:29 before the break. With a minute and half left in the stanza, Rebecaa Feuhrer drove hard to the basket bringing the score to 35-23, which stood as the score at halftime.

Gwynedd opened the third, putting together a 10-2 run with Hoisington scoring nine of the 10 points and suddenly the Griffins trailed just 37-33 at the 5:11 mark. Sullivan continued her hot streak and sunk a jumper from the top of the paint. Hoisington took a foul while driving to basket to complete a three-point play. She stayed in the zone, fighting for a defensive rebound and taking the ball down for a layup and later feeding Bosler to a drive to the basket. However, Rosemont used a stretch of the their own, ending with a three from Thompson right before the buzzer to put the Ravens on top, 52-39.

The Griffins were held to only seven points in the fourth quarter, shooting 3-for-16 from the floor.

The loss marks the first win by the Ravens at The Griffin Complex in 18 meetings dating back to Gwynedd's inaugural NCAA season of 1992-93.

For Hoisington, the 10 rebounds were also a personal-best. Sydney Thompson added seven points and seven rebounds.

The Ravens were led by Thompson with 16 points and 6 assists, both game highs. Naone-Carter added 12 with Jasmyn Parker with 15 and Shawn Dowd with 10.

The Griffins return to action on Saturday at Immaculata.
