Hawks Defeated by Host Golden Eagles at Brockport Tip-Off Classic

            BROCKPORT, NY – Hartwick slipped to 0-3 on the season with a 55-43 defeat at the hands of the Brockport Golden Eagles in the final game of the Brockport Tip-Off Classic at Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium on Saturday.

            Caitlin Corbett (Altamont, NY/Guilderland) was the lone Hawk in double figures with 10 points. She had two of the team's three three-pointers on the day. Carly Johnson (Greenville, NY/Greenville Central) scored nine points and added five rebounds. Mary Schoenherr (Unionville, CT/Farmington) contributed eight points.

            Kelly Pine (Hoosick Falls, NY/Hoosick Falls), Isley Sterling (Wilton, NY/Saratoga Springs), Brianna Laing (South Kortright, NY/South Kortright), and Alexa DuBois (Hobart, NY/South Kortright) each scored four points for 'Wick. Pine had a team-high seven rebounds.

            Bailey Pratt led Brockport with 16 points. Schyler Laux added 14 points for the Golden Eagles. Lindsay Johnson recorded a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 12 boards.

            The Golden Eagles would shoot 41.5% (22-for-53) in the game. The Hawks made 27.3% (15-for-55) of their shots from the floor. They would only convert on three of their 21 attempts from beyond the three-point arc.

            Hartwick hosts SUNY New Paltz in its home opener on Tuesday, November 21 at 7 p.m.
