From there, the Bearcats would continue to build upon the lead. Montrose drained a deep jumper off an inbounds pass and then Maria Morgan added a steal and transition layup to push the lead to 33-27 with 1:46 left in the third.

After the Titans would respond with a layup, Weems made back-to-back baskets, including a three-pointer to make it 38-30 with 39 seconds remaining. Boring would add the final four points of the quarter for the Bearcats, as SVC led 42-33 after three.

A layup each from Ellis and Weems, as well as free throws by Carroll helped the Bearcats extend the lead to as many as 19 before the Bearcats claimed a 60-46 victory.

Ellis paced the Bearcats offensively with 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Weems added 13 points and 5 rebounds. Montrose produced another strong showing off the bench, totaling 10 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Morgan recorded a game-best seven assists.
