GETTYSBURG, Pa. Junior Emily Gibbons (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) and sophomore Emma Dorshimer (Jenkintown, Pa./Jenkintown) combined for 42 points to lead Gettysburg College past Bryn Mawr College 70-40 in a Centennial Conference match up Saturday afternoon inside Bream Gym.

With the victory, Gettysburg (16-7, 12-6 CC) maintained its hold on a playoff spot with two games to go in the regular season. The Bullets remained in fourth in the standings, half a game behind Dickinson College (16-7, 13-5 CC) and Muhlenberg College (16-7, 13-5 CC) and 1.5 games front of fifth-place Ursinus College (13-11, 11-8 CC). The top five teams earn a bid to the conference tournament.

Gibbons continued her record pursuit by securing her 11th consecutive double-double, netting 22 points and 10 rebounds. She finished 10-of-11 from the floor and hit both of her free throw attempts. The junior forward sits just one shy of the Centennial record of 12-straight double-double efforts set by Johns Hopkins University's Julie Anderson in 1995-96 and 1996-97.

Dorshimer put up her 10th 20-point effort of the season in just 17 minutes. She finished 8-of-11 from the field and 2-of-4 from three-point land on the way to 20 points.

Erica Dwyer led Bryn Mawr (2-21, 0-18 CC) with 16 points, while Odinaka Oranekwu grabbed 10 rebounds.

Gettysburg jumped out of the gate with a team-record 30 points in the opening quarter. The team hit 13-of-21 (61.9 percent) field goals in the frame with Dorshimer contributing 16 by herself. The lead ballooned to 40 (56-16) following a 15-0 run to end the second quarter.

The hosts cooled in the second half with the starters receiving a much deserved rest following a three-game week.

Freshman Kiera Cesareo (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) tallied seven points, four rebounds, and five assists, while classmate Sofia Taveras (River Edge, N.J./Saddle River Day) grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists. Freshman Tyler Keohan (Acton, Mass./Acton Boxborough Regional) grabbed six rebounds.

Gettysburg finished 30-of-67 (44.8 percent) from the field and out-rebounded Bryn Mawr 44-34. The Bullets led in points in the paint (42-14) and points off turnovers (31-8).

Gettysburg makes its final regular-season road trip to McDaniel College (11-12, 9-9 CC) on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Game time is 6 p.m.
