The Lancaster Bible women's basketball team won its 14th straight game on Saturday as the Chargers earned their final regular season road victory with 107-45 dismantling of Wilson in Chambersburg, Pa. The Chargers are now 21-3 overall and 18-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play. Lancaster Bible finishes the regular season 10-3 away from Horst Athletic Center and will go for a perfect 12-0 mark on its home floor on Monday night when the Chargers host Penn College at 8 p.m.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible had its biggest quarter output of the season in the first quarter on Saturday as the Chargers scored 40 points in the first 10 minutes of the game and took a 40-12 lead into the second quarter. Leading 10-4 with 6:59 to play in the quarter, Lancaster Bible went on a 21-2 run over the next 4:47 and opened up a 31-6 advantage. Senior Katy Stover and junior Krissy Pennell scored 12 of the 21 points as the Chargers connected on 15 baskets during the first quarter.

Lancaster Bible opened the second quarter on a 9-0 run and took a 49-12 lead on a jumper from Marisa Jo Abts with 7:14 to play in the first half. Another 10-0 run late in the quarter gave the Chargers a 65-20 lead, before Wilson knocked down two free throws with 20 seconds to play and produced the halftime score of 65-22.

Playing with just eight players, the Chargers rotated players in and out during the second half and took a 90-35 lead after three quarters thanks to two late free throws from Pennell. Lancaster Bible used one last scoring run, this one a 9-0 run midway through the fourth quarter and the final bucket of the run, courtesy ofAlyssa Bowen gave the Chargers 100 points for just the fourth time in program history. Lancaster Bible eventually finished with 107 points, the second-most in program history. The program record for points in a game is 121 as the Chargers crushed Washington Bible, 121-9 on Jan. 18, 1980. 

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible shot 41-of-69 (59.4 percent) from the floor, including 6-of-12 from 3-point range...The Chargers also shot 19-of-27 (70.4 percent) from the free throw line...Stover led five players in double figures with 27 as she was 12-of-22 from the floor...Pennell finished with 20 points on a perfect 8-for-8 shooting from the field...Pennell also dished out eight assists and added five steals...Senior Shanice Smithhad 15 points and seven boards in just 18 minutes of play and Bowen added 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals...Abts was the final player in double digits with 11 points and she also grabbed seven rebounds...Mary Finkbeiner and Molly Arnold each added six points as well...Lancaster Bible forced 29 turnovers and held a 46-29 rebounding advantage.

The Coach Says: "Our focus today was to come out strong and to put a lot of pressure on," Lancaster Bible Head Coach Katelyn Vanderhoff said. "We were able to do that right off the bat and get some transition buckets. I really liked the way we moved the ball and thought we did well finding the open player. The bench players stepped up and played solid minutes for us."

Extra!: Lancaster Bible is now 22-14 all-time against Wilson...The Chargers defeated the Phoenix, 89-50 on Jan. 29 in Lancaster...The 62-point victory is tied for the 12th-largest in program history...Pennell is one assist shy from 200 this season...Pennell needs eight more steals to break the program record for steals in a season...The record of 107 is currently held by Jamie Neumann who set the mark during the 2001-02 season.
