The Lancaster Bible women's basketball team won its fourth straight game on Tuesday night as the Chargers toppled St. Elizabeth, 78-48 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference South Division matchup. The victory brings Lancaster Bible's record to 11-3 overall and 8-1 in conference play. The Eagles are now 5-10 overall and 5-5 in NEAC action.

How it Happened: Both teams began the game well offensively as Lancaster Bible grabbed an 11-8 lead after a layup from Krissy Pennell with 5:54 remaining in the first quarter. The layup began a 9-0 run for the Chargers as Pennell found Aubrey Folger the next time down the floor for a layup and then found Katy Stover on the next possession for a 3-pointer. Folger's back-to-back free throws ended the run and put the Chargers ahead for good.

A jumper from St. Elizabeth's Ashley Pledger ended the Eagles' scoring drought, but the Chargers rebounded and scored nine of the quarter's final 11 points to take a 27-12 lead at the end of one quarter.

Lancaster Bible poured it on in the second quarter as the Chargers opened the quarter on a 9-3 run capped by a 3-pointer from Kirsten Webster that gave the Chargers a 36-15 lead. The Eagles knocked down a jumper on their next possession, but the Chargers' offense took off again and used a 14-4 run, capped by Stover's 3-pointer, to take a 50-21 lead with 2:59 to play in the second quarter. The Chargers eventually went into halftime with a 52-27 lead, the team's first 50-point half of the season.

Though the offensive quieted down a bit in the second half, Lancaster Bible maintained its lead and turned up the defensive pressure and allowed just 21 points in the second half. The Chargers took their biggest lead of the game at 72-39 with 8:19 to play and went on to win by 30.
