Following two postponements due to the recent winter storm, Monday's affair was anything but dramatic as Gettysburg (12-3, 6-3 CC) never trailed in handing Swarthmore (3-14, 2-9 CC) its 10th-straight defeat. A three-pointer by freshman Emma Dorshimer (Jenkintown, Pa./Jenkintown) set the stage for a 7-0 run to start the game.

The hosts held the Garnet to just two field goals and raced out to a 17-4 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Swarthmore trimmed the lead down to 10 (21-11) on a three-pointer by Maggie O'Neil with 5:49 left in the second quarter. The Bullets went on a 12-2 run with Gibbons putting up six of her 16 first-half points during the stretch to boost the advantage to 20 (33-13) with 1:19 remaining. A last-second three-pointer by freshman Shannon Tobin (Newark, Del./Caravel Academy) gave Gettysburg a 36-17 lead at the half.

The Bullets put the game on cruise control in the second half as the lead never dipped below 20 following a three-pointer by Dorshimer to start the third quarter. Gettysburg canned 51.6 percent (16-of-31) of its field goal attempts in the final half with the advantage reaching 30 (73-43) on a jumper by Tobin with 4:14 to play.

Gettysburg connected on 29-of-63 (46 percent) field goals in the contest, marking the fourth consecutive outing the Bullets have hit 45 percent or better. The hosts held a 49-36 advantage on the boards and dished out 24 assists.

Gibbons finished 9-of-14 from the floor on the way to her fifth-straight double-figure outing. She also picked up five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
